Custocy appoints Cedric Lefebvre as Head of AI and cybersecurity strategy
Custocy, the French expert in Artificial Intelligence for network intrusion detection, has announced the appointment of Cedric Lefebvre as Head of AI and cybersecurity strategy. This key appointment is part of the company’s ambitious growth strategy, aiming to rapidly establish itself as a market leader and a sovereign reference for supporting highly sensitive organisations in network threat detection and response.
Cedric Lefebvre will oversee the integration of AI into Custocy’s NDR solution. He will define objectives and priorities for network threat detection, manage AI projects, and monitor emerging AI-based technologies and detection methods. His work will involve close collaboration with research institutions.
Cedric brings a wealth of expertise and experience to this role. He holds a PhD in Cybersecurity from the National Polytechnic Institute of Toulouse and conducted research with the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) during his doctoral studies. Alongside his research, he also teaches network security to master’s students at TLS-SEC.
This unique combination of advanced academic knowledge and practical experience equips Cedric Lefebvre to drive the evolution of Custocy’s NDR solution. His approach will focus on innovation, research, and development (R&D), which are core pillars of Custocy’s growth strategy.

About Custocy
Custocy is a French spin-off from IMS Networks, specialised in cybersecurity software. Based in Toulouse, in the Occitanie region, it has a Research and Development team of around fifteen PhDs and engineers who have been developing an artificial intelligence engine since 2019. This engine is integrated into a SaaS platform for Network Detection and Response. Custocy has established a high-level collaboration with the LAAS-CNRS laboratory. Custocy is a laureate of the i-NOV innovation competition as part of the French government’s France 2030 plan and Bpifrance.
