Thomas TRANIER Joins Custocy as Chief Strategy Officer
Custocy, a French editor and expert in Artificial Intelligence for network intrusion detection, is strengthening its leadership team by announcing the appointment of a widely respected specialist known for his expertise and ability to lead and deploy high-value cybersecurity projects. More broadly, this announcement is part of Custocy’s new sales strategy aimed at positioning the company as a sovereign and essential reference in the French NDR market.
In his role, Thomas TRANIER will support Custocy in the large-scale market rollout of its NDR offering to companies and public sector organisations. In this context, he will build, lead, and develop a network of integrator partners and SOC specialists. He will also raise awareness among companies and end clients on the need to implement Custocy’s solution, built on the power of AI, to enhance their detection capabilities through continuous monitoring of their network infrastructure.
Thomas TRANIER notes, “When I was introduced to the first results of Custocy’s NDR in 2024, I was impressed. For the first time, a software publisher’s promises about the effectiveness of AI in the field of cyber detection were delivered. I am joining an incredibly talented and ambitious team, and I thank Thierry Bardy and Sébastien Sivignon for their trust in me.”
Thomas TRANIER brings a solid professional background to the role. A graduate of École Polytechnique and Telecom Paris, he has spent over ten years in major French cybersecurity service companies such as Orange Cyberdefense, Atos, and Neverhack, where he notably led SOC and CERT operations. From 2018 to 2022, he held various roles in charge of cyber protection for critical French organisations across several ministries and CAC 40 companies.
Custocy is a French spin-off from IMS Networks, specialised in cybersecurity software. Based in Toulouse, in the Occitanie region, it has a Research and Development team of around fifteen PhDs and engineers who have been developing an artificial intelligence engine since 2019. This engine is integrated into a SaaS platform for Network Detection and Response. Custocy has established a high-level collaboration with the LAAS-CNRS laboratory. Custocy is a laureate of the i-NOV innovation competition as part of the French government’s France 2030 plan and Bpifrance. In May 2024, Custocy was named “Product of the Year” at the Paris Cyber Show. www.custocy.ai
